Commercial Projects: What It Entails to Complete a Commercial Fence Project

Before beginning any commercial project, it’s important to plan and break down each individual step of the larger process you need to complete. What is the main goal? How can it be achieved most efficiently? Different materials will work better for different types of tasks and properties – it’s crucial that you select the right ones for your specific project needs. The material you choose is crucial when constructing a commercial project because you need it to be long-lasting. How to Streamline Your Commercial Construction Project

  • Step 1: The Development and Planning Phase, is the most important part of a commercial construction project. This is when you establish the groundwork for the rest of the process.
  • Step 2: Next comes The Pre-Design Phase where you’ll develop an outline of what structures and designs are necessary.
  • Step 3: The Design Phase is where you will sketch out the designs of the structures needed.
  • Step 4: In the Pre-Construction Phase, you will see what is needed to complete the build of the project and create deadlines for its completion.
  • Step 5: The Construction Phase is the actual process of putting up the structure.
  • Step 6: The Post-Construction Phase is when we go through and make sure everything meets the code and requirements set by the client.

The Scope of Work for This Commercial Project

This beautiful, sprawling retreat property, Pine Cove (a gospel-centered Christian camp), needed an elegant yet classic pool fence to enclose and border their pool area. To achieve this goal, we created a sturdy and long-lasting iron pool fence with entrance gates that would provide easy but safe access to the pool for all of the camps guests, especially the children. In order to ensure the safety of all those using the pool area on the retreat grounds, our building experts had to make sure the fence around the perimeter stayed up to the building code. Specifically, this means that pool fences: Have a minimum height of 48 inches and cannot have gaps wider than 2 inches between the bottom rail and the ground.

The Design Process of This Specific Pool Fence

The owners of the camp wanted a design that would cleanly border the pool areas and withstand any type of weather. The black iron material, along with the square design at the top of the fence, created a classic look that meets both their clients’ standards as well as those in Texas climates. Our design team went above and beyond to create a visually appealing, cohesive design with both straight and curved fences to perfectly outline the pool area. This unique shape not only looks great but also serves the purpose of keeping campers safe. We communicated closely with our clients from start to finish in order to ensure that their needs were being met every step of the way.

Why Safety is Imperative for This Commercial Pool Fence Project

The top priority for this project was safety, as it should be whenever children are involved. This property offers not only overnight retreats for families but also camp programs for kids, so there will likely be many young ones running around at any given time. That’s why we need to make sure that the pool fences are installed properly and up to code. We created this commercial pool fence in collaboration with a builder who works with this retreat. Our teams worked together to design, fabricate, and install a robust structure that would keep all guests safe while using the pool area. When constructing a pool fence, especially for commercial properties, it is crucial that you create an enclosure that needs little upkeep while still providing safety to the desired area.

Let’s Go Over What It Takes to Work with a Commercial Builder

It is crucial that when you are working with a commercial builder, all team members work together to construct the building that will satisfy the client’s needs. Usually, commercial builders lay the foundation and do some of the framing before hiring external companies for subcontracting jobs to finish other aspects of the project. We are the fencing company that was hired by a large commercial builder to work on various projects within one large development. Some builders establish relationships with business owners who’ve purchased land for construction or are looking to renovate existing commercial properties.
